Piping for Aluminum Shut Pillar Finisher on Longbridge BN4 Cars - Yes or No?

Can anyone tell me if the early Longbridge BN4 cars originally had vinyl covered piping at the outside edge of the aluminum shut pillar finisher. This is the thin piping (about 1/8 inch) covered with black vinyl on later cars that goes between the outer edge of the finisher and the shut pillar. I have found contradictory information on this, and would like to know the answer before installing the aluminum finishers. If they had this, was it similar to the black vinyl covered piping in later cars?

A search of the 2019 Guidelines did not answer my question, and one discussion thread that I found appears to suggest that the early BN4 cars may be different in this than the later cars.

After first thinking that I had the wrong aluminum finishers for the car (after looking at my BT7), I found that the early Longbridge cars use an aluminum finisher that does not extend up as high as the later cars. To my relief, the new correct finishers for the car that I have appear to be correct.

for the Longbridge cars, my 57 ivory BN4 has the white shut pillar finisher - and it looks GREAT!!!

That makes sense. An excerpt on google from the Anderson and Moment book, says that the early 100-6 cars had the piping the same color as the primary interior color. So, I suppose that means that it should be red on my car; the heritage certificate lists the trim color as red.

Healey106, or anyone else that may know, the Anderson Moment book says that the beaded trim piece "terminated under the alloy trim plate at the top." Can anyone take a picture of that trim plate and the bead at that point and post it or email it to me? That would help a lot.
