Pinning 1500 Thrust Washer

We normally don't do this to the racing Spitfire engines, and most other race engine builders don't as well, theory being since it's a race engine, you'll be back inside the motor long before the thrust bearings will ever wear out, and secondly, you won't be sitting there with your foot on the clutch of a running motor. This is a great idea for a street engine, but people can simply eliminate the need of it on the street as well, by not sitting at stop lights with the clutch depressed.

Yeah, in five years of running my 1500 Spridget, I've never bothered with the pinning deal.

Just swap them out on a regular basis (about 20 to 25 hours works good for me....I change the rod bearings at the same time).
