Pimp my Midget

there's an industrial hardware store here in San Diego that sells the safety torx head bits. That makes me think that there's got to be one in your neck of the woods also. Or, you could always find your friendly neighborhood snap on guy, they should had the bit you need.

good advice all - thanks. Understand that opening up the exhaust is #4 on my list of 3 things to do, so, I'll for sure keep you posted but it won't be too quick.

You sure that screen isn't a converter?

Could easily be. Wow I'm environmentally conscious and didn't even know it. Next thing they tell me I'll be doing the environment good by not letting a car become part of landfill.

I've seen some Harley mufflers listed as non cat, so it might be possible. That stuff is worth some $$$, but buyers wouldn't know how to price it w/o it being in a automotive muffler. I don't think it would get hot enough way back there to work. KNOCK IT OUT WITH A STICK !!!!! ( I use my pry bar.)

I'm planning on doing this to my '79. Probably will buy a pair off of e-bay. Maybe we can take one, send it around the country to members of this group. Everyone can have a whack at it..... Literally.
