Pictures - VIR Gold Cup

Great pictures, thanks. Note the oddball mirror extension on the Speedwell Sprite. Yankee ingenuity?

Great shots, other than the pits and start/finish I find it tough to get a good camera location there. Where were you shooting from?
The exploded clutch looks really grim, was the driver cut up any?

The Alfa driver got out with only shaken nerves. Everyone was amazed that he walked away without injury. Simply amazing.

I was up on the hill behind the false grid. I seem to spend most of my time either there or on the deck above the Pagoda. Occasionally I'll go to the stands by Oak Tree but I like staying near the Paddock.

Thanks for identifying the cars I'd never seen before.

Tremendous shots.Personally loved the false grid pix of the 100's getting ready to go out. They look the business.Just what the car is for!! IMHO

Can't wait to see these cars run, at some point!
Thanks!

I was at VIR again this past weekend (7/9 - 7/11/05) and they have broken ground for the Healey Museum which is scheduled to open in 2007. There should be plenty of good "static" picture opportunities there.
