Here are a couple pictures of my alternator installation. Mazda rx-7 unit, a 6 inch piece of brass pipe, Mr Gasket chrome Alternator swoosh bracket, and a fan belt 1 1/2 inches longer than stock. Seemed easy. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

Looks just spiving from this angle. Not able to discern the method/widget to keep the brass pipe from moving forward from the photo tho. Spacer onna back at the bracket? Just curious.

You might want to get an alternator bracket to bring the rear mount in closer. Otherwise, looks good.

Sid, I was looking at one of the RX7 alternators last fall on a friends racer. Now I think I just may give it a try. He's got a box of the things I can pick from. Thanks for sharing.

da spacer onna da backa da bracket is... because a seven inch bolt is tooo short and an eight inch bolt is about dat much tooo long... so I putta da spacer in dere to keeepa da bolt from hittin da belt.

Cute. I *love* a good cheat. Well done! And it's SHINY too!
