TR2/3/3A Pict Of My Restro TR3

Mountainman, you are my new idol! I am always amazed at what other men can do that I cannot do. What the heck did the Almighty put between my ears?

P.S. My last idol was Tiny Tim.

P.P.S. Steve, how do you get those emoticons on your posts? I can only find 27 icons to deal with, and I LOVE those emoticons.

Other than the blindingly obvious "very carefully", how did you flip the body? What did you rest it on when working on the bottom? And I love the yellow too- planning the body-off on mine, except I really like a red interior with mine- Bill Piggot notwithstanding. Love the Offy valve cover too! Jim
Jim, First I welded braces across the door openings to keep the tub from folding. Three buddies and I just lifted it off and placed it on a 2x4 frame that I built. It was a lot easier than I expected it would be. Greg

Hey Greg, She looks great! I would be very proud of the work that you have done.

Here are a few of my own. I picked up the POR15 and POR15 Chassis Black yesterday in order to paint my frame in the next couple of weeks.

I hope to be where you are by early Spring. Guys like you give me inspiration to get out in the garage!

Cheers,
M. Pied Lourd

M.Pied Lourd, Thanks, I used por15 on everything, frame ,all front end parts, complete tub and inside my fender wells. It really lays down nice and if it work as good as everyone says it's worth the price.

That's looking great. Makes me want to do a nut & bolt restoration on my TR3A.

BGeorge, I just click on "full reply screen" at the bottom of the posting form, and then the smiley in the first button. Makes for lots of choices. :driving:
