I painted Bugsy 5 years ago with Rustoleum and a Roller. I indeed spent < $50 on the paint job. Paint has held up well, been easy to touch up, and in spite of never wet sanding and buffing the final coat I've recieved lots of compliments on what great shape the paint is in. Many years ago I convinced myself that Bugsy would be a driver and not a trailer queen. I don't worry about him in parking lots, gravel roads, or bumps and nicks he picks up in my one car garage. Touch up is simple and easy with Rustoleum and foam roller. I may decide to do the Interlux Brightside Route. Lots of good writeups on technique and I already figured out how to use Rustoleum successfully. For Bugsy I could not justify spending several thousand on paint for a car I bought for $800 in 2000. What color will you be going with for the car?
