Here are some pics from the show this past weekend. The blue Lotus by the way has been in the same family since new!
Also there was the BMW powered TR6.... it made the rounds on the forum when it was listed on ebay.

There's a guy here in Alberta who is the original owner of his MG TD, for a time when it was brand new it was their family car, I only met him once and I remember him telling me quite proudly that he took his first child home in that car... I believe it was parked for many years, then he restored it... Someone I talked to recently told me that he's still alive and yes, still owns the car...

I've owned my Lambretta TV175 44 years.

How can that be...you're only 39.

Nice TVR next to you

That TVR belongs to a friend of mine; he's driving it to Canada next week for a big Brit car show.
As for my age, I don't buy any green bananas :smirk:

is that the show at bronte creek provincial park on the 15th?

Yes, that's the show he's going to.... it's a long way just for a one day show!

Trust me, this car show is worth the drive, it's so big I would consider planning a vacation to Toronto simply to coincide with the show, it's been ten years now since I moved back to Alberta from Ontario, yes I miss that car show...

Bingo!.... that's exactly what he is planning on. His family will be following in another car and after the show they will spend some time and money enjoying Canada.

Oakville was the site of the national Daimler clubs' first annual gathering, in 1979, and the British Car show will be the site again this year. Looking forward to the weekend in Canada!!

Largest British Car show in North America - 1000+ cars (though 997 are MGB's Spridgets, TR^'s and Spitfires :jester: )

It is quite amazing and I will be there too.
