Was at an auction in Baltimore and couldn't resist.

Shows 41,000 miles and has a nice older paint job and clean interior. Engine feels good just going around the lot but the transmission grinds when I try to go into 3rd. Bought a '78 over 20 years ago at the same place so its a bit of deja vu. Only kept that one a few weeks since it had a bad miss and I couldn't do engine work.

Nice find!

I know the big bumper Midgets tend not to be looked upon as kindly as the Round Wheel Arch, or earlier marks. But, it's still a Midget, which means it will be fun to drive. I never did any engine work until I bought my '69 Sprite. These cars are remarkably simple to work on. And, if you start getting in over your head, there are plenty of experts here on BCF to offer helpful advice.

I like the rubber midgets, not the Bs. Thats a good color for that year car.
Looks like long trip from the east to west coast

Just realized you are from DC, not Suburban, Washington.
So enjoy the short trip down the Baltimore Washington Parkway

Not sure I want to repeat history with an unknown car. The one I bought 20 years ago only made it 5 miles down the road. Turned out a freeze plug was missing and there was no water in the block, and of course the temperature gauge didn't register anything. Think I might want to tow it home.
