Just got back from Home Depot after picking out a wreath for the front door.
Woman said pretty car and I said no it is a red sleigh and there are 4 little Elves under the Bonnet making it go.
Merry Christmas everybody and Happy New Year.

I'd be hard pressed to even find my TR-7 after today's snowstorm, let alone take it out to get a wreath. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in return. I'm still hoping that I can buy a '74 Midget before New Year's!

Doesn't a TR7 already have a wreath on it? :glee:

Baby Blue is tucked up in the garage. Temps were above freezing, but with the melt off of snow and all the salt they put on the roads, there was no way I was going to take the car out, much to my daughters dismay and considerable protests. I did have to readjust the carbs as they got out-of-sync with each other.

Sure wish I had taken pictures of me and friends being towed on ski's behind my friend's MGA when we were young! Would have made a great Christmas card!:D

Here's a shot of my father's BN4 in the snow in 1958. (since we're talking about motoring in the winter)
He drove a Bugeye through the winter of '59 and then again in '69 and an MGA from '61-'63.

I drove that '72 Midget that I owned in the 80's for several years throughout the winters when I lived in Vermont. It was often cold inside [especially when the blower motor started to blow fuses] but quite an effective driver in snowy conditions. Drifts would ground it but it was my only car for a commute that covered some 60 miles a day. Since then I've also used my '78 Spitfire, my '78 MGB [during the '90's] and my '80 TR-7 [early 2000's]. And yes, they all suffered from additional rust because of salted roads.

Yesterday was great, but today is even greater. I am picking up my daughter at noon for a ride in the BE out into the back country to find mistletoe that hangs from the Oak trees. It will be 83 degrees, because of a Santa Ana condition and I plan on taking full advantage of it. The plan is to grab some mistletoe and then drive to the Barrett Junction Cafe for lunch. It will be about a 60 mile round trip.

Last year I got caught in a sudden unannounced snowstorm 10 blocks from home. Coming up a hill when it hit, by the time I hit the stopsign at the top, I had to "roll" it. Jag has zero capabilities in the snow it seems.
Worked for traction for six blocks past the crest of the hill and it was bare and dry. Go figure.
No wreaths, but I could hang one on the leaper.
