I received this spam email this evening. It states that it is from Xfinity but the email address of the xfinity email is from ~aol.com~.
Hmmmm..... maybe xfinity is using aol to send their emails :ROFLMAO:

I logged in to my bank (brick and mortar, but web interface). Got my home page, but it was suddenly covered with "Attention: This is your first login after our January update to our privacy policies. Please read the attached explanation, then click Agree in order to see your account balance".

The attached explanation was 67 pages long.

I called my bank, which told me it wasn't their idea - it was from the company that manages online accounts for customers of hundreds of banks.

Good grief - you've got to be kidding. Sixty-seven pages! And I couldn't see my actual account page until I clicked "I have read the policies and agree." No wonder we get into trouble, if the info pages are 99% impossible to understand.

I actually downloaded the 67 pages, so I could read myself to sleep when needed.

yeesh.

I get more spam than I can count. My Apple Mail does a pretty good job of flagging spam and putting it in a junk" folder, but I also have set up a rule that says "If incoming mail is not from someone in my contacts .. Then >> move to "Maybe Junk" folder. As I scan through that folder, if there is mail from a person or place I expect (and want) to receive mail from in the future, I simply right click the address and add it to my contacts.

The only was mail ends up in m y actual inbox is if the sender is in my contacts.

I agree. Hardly any junk mail shows up in my inbox. Most ends up in my junk mail folder. I scan it and just delete all.
