I logged in to my bank (brick and mortar, but web interface). Got my home page, but it was suddenly covered with "Attention: This is your first login after our January update to our privacy policies. Please read the attached explanation, then click Agree in order to see your account balance".
The attached explanation was 67 pages long.
I called my bank, which told me it wasn't their idea - it was from the company that manages online accounts for customers of hundreds of banks.
Good grief - you've got to be kidding. Sixty-seven pages! And I couldn't see my actual account page until I clicked "I have read the policies and agree." No wonder we get into trouble, if the info pages are 99% impossible to understand.
I actually downloaded the 67 pages, so I could read myself to sleep when needed.
yeesh.
