Anybody recognize anyone?

I didn't recognize anyone, but those are some nice looking cars.

More pictures of the white Amilcar please!!! Stunningly beautiful!!

Orange is Jabro. Running a 948 (Bugeye) engine, I'm pretty sure. Tube chassis, so sort of like a Turner. Jabros were American kit-cars built in Missouri. Often used for the old SCCA "H-Mod" racing class. Many had Crosly engines. I have a video of following this one for numerous laps. Will try to post that video this week.

White car is pre-war Amilicar. French car with 4 cylinder flathead engine. I think that one is a "CC" model. A popular "voiturette racer" in the 20s and 30s.

That car was pretty neat. It had spridget front suspension too. I talked to the driver at Beaverun the week before, he was chasing some kind of high-rev shutdown problem. I'll check my camera to see if I have any pictures of it that I didn't upload.

The red car pictured above is Richard Jefferson's out of the Baltimore area, the orange/yellow/red bug eye belongs to David Smith out of Carlisle, Pa. This was the first outing for both of them at Pittsburgh and both of them had a great time but claim their knees are still shaking from the treachery of the Schenley Park course. Was a great weekend!

Nial, don't be so modest, you looked great out there, seemed you took a natural liking to street racing, something we all did in the 50's.

A lot of it was "unsanctioned" too.

Blackburn Road in Sewickley was the "home course" for quite a few of us.

Thanks for the pictures. Some great looking cars. You can't even tell how hot it was that weekend!
