My daughter and I spent the day in Santa Fe, and she was in charge of the camera. She got some hands on lessons on how to use the camera, use its settings, and how to try and frame photos. Here are a few of her better shots from the day.

Bas, we're right down the road from you tonight in Moriarty. We had Pizza Barn in Edgewood for dinner.

She took probably ten or fifteen shots here of the chilis and the sky, trying to strike a balance between the two. I think this one of a nicely exposed sky and the nearly blacked out chilis is the best.

This one may hand been her favorite of the day. She laid on her back and shot upwards to catch the top of this fountain.

She liked the framing on this shot. This, and others indoors, were also good practice for adjusting the f stop and shutter speed.

This is a sculpture that she really liked shooting, and took many pictures of, I think this one is a decent one. Just enough darkness to make it interesting.

This statue proved interesting to capture for her due to the light filtering through the trees.
