Even a story behind the '62 TR4 find. Ms. Lucy found it behind one of those self storage places that went bankrupt and was foreclosed by the bank. The car was behind the building. Ms. Lucy inquired at the bank and they ran the VIN No. thru DMV and come up empty. Ms. Lucy offered the bank $100. and purchased the car. Ms. Lucy used to have a TR4 as a daily driver.

So far she hasn't figured out her digital camera but she color copied a hard print and I shopped it made it into a jpg.

Here's the latest Triumph barn find. Ms Lucy will be joining BCF in the near future. So will her neighbor who can repair anything.

enjoy,

Great find and a great story to go with it!

Make sure she gets a clear title on it before she spends any money on it. I would hate for her to end up like the restoration shop did on the VW bus we discussed a few weeks ago.

That looks pretty decent - my guess its been protected from the Wisconsin winters for most of the time.

:iagree:

But I think it's somewherez north of th' tropics. I don't do "winter" well. Mebbe a trip in, say, mid-August of NEXT year. :smirk:

We gots nine months of snow and three months of bumpy sledding up here in Wisconsin. But there are some sunny days that make riding in a roadster very special. Specially when the tops down and the sun is heating up the soil. Man I tell you nothing beats the smell of the finest dairyair in the nation! Come on up to Door county and leave the cows behind. Nothing but lake breeze and cherry trees, almost heaven. Scott, looking forward to winter and working on my project cars up hear near the tip of Door County.

Born in Rhinelander myself, definitely envy your location in Door County. Except wintertime, the Houston area isn't that bad!

From the look of the picture it doesn't need much repairing!

Where are all those kinds of deals when I am looking?

why is it that things like that never happen to me! $100 ! nice! that looks sweet!
