it took me awhile, but here is a photo of my TR8 parts car I purchased about two months ago. It travelled from Georgia on a long haul truck to a nearby shopping mall, and then finished the trip on the back of Froggy's Towing.

That 'parts car' looks way better then either of my two 'project cars' when I started with them.

Yeah!

Shoot, that car does look better than a lot of "projects" I've seen... at least in the photos.

On our favorite action site that car might be described as "Very original, just needs a Saturday wax job to look showroom fresh!"

There were only, what, 2500-3000 TR8s? Maybe you should consider restoring it.

By the way, I saw a Rover V-8 long block being advertised on Craigslist, here in the Bay Area... Sounds like the seller is also building up a TR8. Asking $250 for the engine with the heads. If you are interested it's at https://www.craigslist.org/eby/pts/115566673.html

(Legalese: I have no knowledge of the particular item or seller of same... just happened to notice the listing while poking around on Craigslist.)

[/ QUOTE ]Heresy!!!!! You're going to sacrifice a perfectly good TR8 to build up a TR7? We TR8 owners need to band together to prevent the slaughter of an innocent victim--one of only 2,700 such cars ever built. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

the floor pans and trunk are rusted out.
