Photo editing

I'm not totally 'puter literate. I need to do some minor editing of photos but don't have any software for it. My sister-in-law scanned some photos and emailed them to us but they are REALLY small. I need to increase the size/visibility and don't know how. Is there any free AND easy to use software to do these simple jobs???

If you have Paint or any Microsoft photo viewer/editor (and usually all Microsoft computers do), click "file", then "properties". You can then adjust the picture by a percent (you want to make the picture 1000% bigger or whatever), or you can type in exactly how big you want it in pixels.

If that dosen't work, look for "image" and then "resize". It'll bring you up to a similar set up.

If you have Apple, I can't say.

Not much you can do if the file size is small, there are a LOT of limiting factors. IP file size limits, software that resizes files to be "compatible" with restrictions imposed by mail servers.

Hunt (Google) for "Gimp". Download and install it. If the files SIL sent are limited by HER IP there ain't much you can do to change them, tho.
