Phil Frank, creator of Nigel Shiftright among many other witty comics passed away Thursday. He was a true gentleman and a real car nut. He will be missed.

For those who have never seen it, here it a recent Road & Track article on Nigel Shiftright's car entitled "Four Angry Cylinders"...

And here is an article on Phil from yesterday's San Francisco Chronicle...

A loss to our hobby, that's for sure. I always enjoyed the escapades of Nigel Shiftright...

I believe that Mr.Frank was a member of the North American MMM Register, as well as a local California MG Club.

Nigel was one my heros - hopefully he had some
material left for future release.
Wase't Mr. Frank the one who lived on a houseboat in Saucilito?
