Another great one gone.Pete was a Lotus team racer-
he still had his Lotus 49 when I last saw him.He was one
of the very few true "Gentleman Racers" from the past.
I'm honored to have met him on a few occasions.If you
saw him on the street,he just looked like a nice older gen-
tleman.But if you were lucky enough to spend any time with
him,& hear his stories,you'd have been amazed by what he did
in his life.He was a very humble man.
I was able to get his home number,& had a nice talk
with him a few years back.I always meant to call him again,
but you know how that goes.
