Pertronix or points

Kidding aside, does he have a full size spare tire in the boot? The tire and battery take up a lot of the boot. I would think there wouldn't be enough space for that much stuff too.

. I don't know if your friend Dennis trusts his mechanic, planning on a deep space mission, or building another Healey for his return trip? I don't think the space shuttle carries that many spares! Lol.

I told him it reminded me of pictures of the supplies Roy Chapman Andrews' expedition used in 1922 when they drove 1500 miles out into the Gobi Desert from Peking and found all the dinosaurs.

Steve,

There was one thing Dennis didn't have in his trunk................ Brake Light Switch. Lots and lots of hand signals and running light switch on and off for about the last three days in the U.K. Not as impressive as a fire in the trunk, but I am just saying.

Hi Gents,

often not the spark generation is the problem but the vakuum advance which causes issues to the wear of the built-in weights, spring, mechanics.
I can highly recommend the 123ignition system for the Healey which is not only solving the points issues but also the issues with the sub-optimal vacuum advance.

I just got my rebuilt distributor back and need a little help here.
Before being rebuilt it was set up to run negative ground Pertronix.
Rebuilder recommended running it with points, so it came back with the points in it.
I need to wire it back with the factory white wire and the white wire with a black stripe.

Negative ground car
1. white wire to the positive of the coil?

2. white wire with black stripe has two (2) female connectors. Where do they go?
One female to the distributor?
Where does the other go?

Thank you,
Roger
