hello i have a 76 spitfire that the po put in a mallory dual point distributer and i was thinking of putting in a pertronix ignitor electronic system in it. i know moss sells one for like $150 but i can order from pertronix cheaper but i cant figure out which one it is on their website. does anybody know what part number i would need? has anybody had any experience with this setup? any advice or suggestions would also be appreciated. thanks...

I would use the Mallory version as Peter suggested.

Not all Mallory distributors will accept their electronic conversions. I looked into it and the one I'm using on my TR3 won't.

Edit: I clicked on the Pertronix link, and I wouldn't be able to use that either with my distributor. I have a vacuum advance type unit.

im just starting to look into this i didn't even know mallory made a conversion. i saw the one in the moss catolog and i starting thinking maybe. I believe that i also have a vacum advance so i would think the one in the link would not work. i tried to look up a mallory unit and could not find anything.
