Pertronix and Timing

HI, There is not much latitude for changing the wire size in the Dizzy cap. It is safest to stick with the standard [ 7 mm ] size wire that fits easily in the entry holes in the cap.---Keoke
 
So end of saga. Bought a coil wire. Fits the pertronix fine. Cut off the distributor boot end and learned how to feed into my side entry dizzy. Car runs so much better. Couldn't notice a miss and loads of power. Will look into copper stranded sp wires for the future. Now onto learning about tri-carb settings as it is running rich but that may take a lifetime. Reviewed many posts and they are intimidating. Plugs are on the dark side but I will settle for an easier start and a reaaly smoooth ride.

Glad to hear we could help you out. Be sure and find you some solid stranded copper hitension wire, one very good brand is Packard usually carried by better auto part store there are others.
