TR2/3/3A Pertronix and timing in TR3

Nice thing about the vernier, it's easy to pop the hood and make an adjustment on the side of the road. I like to back off another couple of degrees from where it stops pinging; in case I find worse conditions (eg bad gas) and don't hear the knock at higher speeds.

Fuel line should be steel all the way, except for a union near the middle. Most likely it has been patched as you say. You might want to consider going back to steel ...

Last time I needed to empty a tank like that, I used my spare Facet fuel pump as a transfer pump, to move the fuel to another car (after filling a can with enough to get to a gas station after the repair).
