Personalized/Vanity Plates

Curious as to the best personalized/vanity plates you have ever seen on an MG or other British sports car.

Not yet but fully intend one. Not gonna "vote" for that reason.

The Benz has "DIESELA" as a vanity plate ATM. The Elan will as well, when next it is "registered."

Voted but I have 1967 NY plates for her.

I've got one on my B. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

The venerable R&T photo of the back of a white Kali tagged VW Rabbit convertable: "ML8-ML8" is by far the neatest in my memory.

Corvair with the tag "UNSAFE"

I don't have one on my B... I haven't decided on whether or not I wanna get one either.

Best plates I've seen had to have been on a new Mini Cooper: "TINYVAN"

Worst plates I've seen had to have been on a BMW: "BLU IED" ... However, they had a frame over the plate that covered the bottom portion of the middle two letters and it looked like it read "BLU TED" ... The next time I saw the car the frame was no longer there... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

You left-lobe dominants... sheesh.

"White Rabbit"

"Alice"

"I'm LATE! Im' LATE!"

...kids these days....

OY! *smacks forehead*

ah well... wasn't ever a really big fan of Alice... :p

I got it - hehehehehehehhee

Best plate I've seen was on a C3 Corvette "VSS WVN"(ass man upside down)....Worst palte was on a late model Grand Am "4 Skin"
I had "XKE 425" On My `70 type, I wanted just XKE but it was taken....and i wasn't very creative back then. Also my MGA had "BOZO72" not really a vanity plate as it was just the stand issue plate they gave me, but it earned the car a nickname for life...I've now got historic plates on it.

I've always wanted to get some vanity plates for my current cars, but haven't gotten around to it.
XK8- Strt Shrk
Caddy- Chariot
MGB LE- Spook
Camaro- Firm

Paybacks for making fun of Texans.

This is my random numbered vintage plate.

(and there is NO way to change it)

BTW: Bret, wat is the meaning behind "Pagan B"?

I don't know how to vote. I have a personalized plate on my BGT, a YOM plate on my MGA and standard plates on three other MGs. I need more voting options!

The best plate I can remember was not on an actual LBC. It was on an '89 Miata when they first came out. As you know, they were basically a replacement for the old British sports cars that were no longer made. The license plate read "NO LUCAS". " It was my father's car and he still has the plates /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

hmmm... IIRC, the problem wasn't in knowing how to vote, rather it was in knowing how to count... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
