Thanks for posting this. Like you I always enjoy reading the impressions of the Austin-Healey when it was a new car (particularly the 100, one of which I have owned for many years).
G'day Bob, thanks for posting those Le mans results from 1953. A couple of points of interest: Just beating the Johnny Lockett/Maurice Gatsonides 100 to 11th place was the Nash-Healey of Leslie Johnson and Bert Hadley; and lower down the list, under "Entered cars that did not arrive" is No 45, another Austin-Healey 100 entered by the DHMC. I knew they took a spare car (which was employed to replace the one that crashed after practice) but does this indicate that there was a fourth car present and entered in 1953?
