Will i encounter any problems mounting a peco exhaust system to my 1979 MGB. I am not planning to remove the exhaust manifold. I do have a weber carb installed. Does that matter? The peco system has a 2 inch pipe.

So you are just using the rear section without the header as I read it. I just installed a Peco header and a used Ansa system. I had to have a connector pipe made to connect the 2 parts. The ansa system was on my other car and hooked up to a standard 1967 exhaust manifold and downpipe. The way you are going you may be able to get a reducer at a parts supply house and cut the downpipe or exhaust system to fit the length needed. I do not think its going to be a bolt up and go operation. I have a complete Peco system on my other car and it fit excellent but it did include the peco header. Good luck and welcome to the Forum. Bob
