A long while ago we had a thread about paintless dent removal (PDR). I cannot find it. I was discussing this with a friend (in need) and trying to locate it cause I think there was someone on the forum who does this for a living in the SF bay area. Does anyone remember this or have I been smelling exhaust too long?
Thanks

Hi TH:

Dent Pros operates at several locations in the SF Bay Area and via mobile service. I've used them to remove a few dings and dents that my other car manages to collect. I would be happy to refer you to guy who is a real artist at PDR - he successfully removed a dent from a waryward baseball. GONZO

Hi T.H.,

That would be AUSMHLY (Roger) at https://www.dentfree.us/

Cheers,
John

Roger Conte (Dentfee) is the best in the business. A couple years ago he took out more than 3 dozen door and fender dings in my E-type OTS (don't ask). The car looked so good after he was done I hardly recognized it and others who had seen it before were astonished. No other PDR company would even attempt the Jag. They claimed it couldn't be done. Roger just considered it a challenge and went to work. He's also an incredibly nice guy that owns a BJ8.
Highly recommended!

Hi TH,
Yes I have been doing PDR for a little over 10 years. Are there any questions I can answer for you?

When considering this type of service, very important to qualify the PDR tech. How long has he been doing it? Like any craft, experience, pride in what you do. Becarefull of techs who just got out of school or who shy away from technical or larger dents. Those guys may not "finish" the dent. Meaning you can see the push marks or worse, crack the paint. This applies to all dents, door dings. You want a guy who will make it perfect, no excuses. Does this help?

Cheers, Roger

Thank you Randy for your kind words.

Wow, I jinksed myself with my question! Asked info for a friend and low and behold, I took two hits in two days on my new Cayenne. (did it in my own garage too add insult to injury). I called Roger and met him in the SF bay area (almost two hundred miles away-I like to support Healey people) (Made a trip to the Napa wine country on the way so it wouldn't be a total loss).Roger is a magician!!! He took out two dent', 8 and 6 inches so well you wouldn't know they were ever there. He took 2 1/2 hours and is meticulous (he calls himself anal) in his craft. (It would have only taken 1 1/2 hours if we didn't talk Healeys) But WOW if you ever need this kind of work, he's the man.
Thanks, Roger. Hope to see you on the Healey road soon.
Rich
P.S. For those who don't remember Roger (asmhly) he is the one who is having trouble with the body shop. Great guy.

You meet the nicest people here. And sometimes you get a chance to meet them in person. It was a pleasure talking Healeys with tahoe healey, thanks for your kind words. Oh and thanks for the shout out about the P.S. You know what I'm taking about you son of a gun.
