Years ago, maybe 25 or so, PBS tv had a series where a woman in the UK decides to go racing using the family mini. She finds an ex-racer/mechanic that rebuilds the car and teaches her to race.

The series lasted about 6-8 shows. Does anyone remember it? Is it on the net?
Thanks

I remember it was not a family car. She decided to race against her husbands' wishes and held a yard sale of donated stuff and raised the money to buy the Mini from the mechanic. He drove a yellow XKE and had a Land Rover tow truck. The Mini was built and then stolen and retrieved and she had another sale to pay for rebuild from trashing when stolen, husband helped this time and then she raced at the Hatch and lost first place overall and was upset until they pulled her to the victory lane as she won 1st in class. Been looking for this for years. PBS archives from BBC did not come up with anything.
