Hi all
As you all know- Paul Asgeirsson is in a nursing home and is pretty well done playing with cars.
His son Joey was going to try to keep Paul's "current" daily driver Morris but logistics just wouldn't let that happen.
So for better or worse "Old Blue" is now on the block for sale.
Joey is asking $3500 but is very willing to listen to offers. The car is still in Portland, Oregon but it could be heading up to Seattle in a couple of weeks.
The car is still a great driver, I've driven it several times in the last year.
It has a 948 and ribcase but both are in very good condition and I would have very little problem trusting it to go on a several thousand mile trip just as it sits.
I'll attach some photos if I can.

Bob (bob67bgt) was looking for one for a friend a while back. Don't know if he found one, but this seems a likely prospect.

I have also driven this car.
It was Paul's baby, it was a kick in the pants to drive!!
I wish I could afford to buy it, my wife would love to use this to run about.

As a note, this is NEW BLUE. Old Blue had literally countless miles and Paul and given up on keeping it running. NEW BLUE was only about 50 serial numbers away from old, and the keys even fit one another.

I'm so tempted - but need a pickup.If it were a traveler,
I'd be on it.
So sad to hear the circumstances.I hope that it goes to
the right person.

Hey Bill,

Can you give us some ideas of what the real world performance of the car is? Can it handle highway speeds? Roughly what kind of MPG does it get?

Thanks,

Morris

I have seen Paul driving up to the swap meet in Bellevue WA, pulling his trailer full of stuff. Moving right along.

I have never driven it very far but know that Paul would drive it to Canada without hesitation (200 miles or so).
It is a 948 so probably won't go faster than 150 MPH (would you believe 65?) but it should do that all day long.
