FYI

There is a great 5 page article about Pat Moss and 'her' Liege -Rome-Liege" winning car in the January edition of Classic & Sportscar. The car has been fully and tastefully restored to original spec. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Interesting to see that the car ran with three HD8's with horizontal inlet manifold not semi downdraft. The whole engine block etc was painted red, not metallic green and the estimated output was only around 150bhp at the time. Pat Moss requested that for this rally the car should have a very high geared rear axle (from a taxi?) which meant it could not even achieve a 100mph. But top speed was not what was required in this event
