Got a load of original hardware back from being clear zinc plated today. Now if I could only remember where they all go. Just kidding on that, lots of notes. Also a few other parts that have been rebuilt, and micro polished.I need to spend some time now putting it all back together.

Got part of the engine put back together Thursday. Found out I need oversize thrust washers so the rebuild was haulted for now. Greg at BPNW was very helpful with the ring gap issue and is sending new parts. To bad I found out about the thrust washers after he already sent the parts. Now it's time to put all the hardware in some bags.

No kidding - those bolts and the intake rock Keith!

Boy, that sound kind of dumb. Like, dude, how can bolts rock?

Let's just say those are quite nice and I like them very much.

Most admirable. We're saving these lumps on an impressive scale 'cause folks will go to these lengths to make 'em last.

Keith, you're now a "Conservator"!!!

Keith - Whay is the finish on the aluminium parts like the intake manifold, thermostat housing bits, etc ? Surely not clear zinc ?

No those were a few parts I had done at Paltech (micro polished). The finish is better than the original but I'm sure it won't take to long before they look as they did when they came off the line.
