I have found a car I think it is a mgb mid to late 70's it has the spoiler molded into the front bumper (if that helps identify it) I can probably get really cheap. I am willing to buy it if anyone would be interested in parts it has a hard top in good condition body is rough, engine is questionable interior is good, seats are good oh yeah and the battery in behind the passenger seat under a small cover. luggage rack is perfect, hood needs paint, etc. if anyone needs ar wants parts let me knoe I will buy it and part it out at really good prices (dirt cheap).

Hi Randy! Go look at the car again and if you can, please take a digital pic of it and post it here on this thread. If it is a B it will be recognized! If you can't get a photo please get the VIN number, and perhaps even the engine number (small narrow plate on the passenger side of the engine just below the joint with cylinder head) and post them here. Thanks for thinking of us. It is a shame to let one of these LBC's go to the crusher if it doesn't really have to. Jack

Depending on the hardtop & transmission, I might be interested.

Depending on the hardtop ? I saw him first, especially if it is a Parrish style. The Lord never said there was anything was wrong about lusting after a hard top! Jack

You go for it Jack - but if its a Works hardtop...muzzle loader single shot pistols at 20 paces?

Careful, Twig. You'll end up with the single shot, Tony with a horse pistol (six shooter)!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/lol.gif

Hey, haven't you guys ever heard 'ladies first?'

Oh wait, I just unloaded a hardtop I had!

Hardtop? Did someone say hardtop?

ok ok guys i'[ll call right now and ask about it and get a pic for ya and by the way the top is in pretty good condition from what I have seen so far. Hmmmmm will it work on a midget?

Nope, won't work on Midget - will work on my '79 MGB!

If a guy with more'n one wife is a polygamist, wadda ya call a guy with more'n one MGB hardtop???

I've only got 3 factory tops & 1 old Sebring top....need 1 more factory top!

*NEED* you say?!?!

Here's my 74 year old friend, a retired Air Force fella, freezin' his ears off in a ~wicked~ Florida winter 'cause he don't have a hardtop, and you got three of 'em???... Where's yer HUMANITY, man!?

BTW: It was a balmy 76° F this afternoon. Predicted to go all th' way down to 56° overnight. ;P

Hey, retired Air Force-he's accustomed to freezin his ears off!

Heartless. Just heartless.

Since we are on the subject....I always though that the Parrish style top had to be one of the easiest things on earth to copy for a reproduction run and I always thought that the asking price for new ones was just plain silly. Does anyone have a "friend in the fiberglass business" and does anyone have a Parrish round top that could be used as a mold? I might even try to make one, a mold and a prototype, up myself if I could get an example to use as a mold. As far as Tony is concerned...He's the guy that eats all the chocolate out of the three flavor Breyers ice cream before offering any to the rest of us. LOL Jack

Jack - not the chocolate, the strawberry! hehehehe

Next time I find a Parrish, you're the first guy I'll call!

Bah, humbug. Even in the summer your lows are usually higher than our highs! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Yup. Inna summer evenin's I can usually find a nice hot rock to lie down on to fend off th' chill /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Just be careful about AF talk, Army does it in the bushes or maybe under their factory tops. Could some one point me to a pic of these, I have no clue? What's the difference.

Thanks to Greg, I now have a pic of his lovely car with an Old English White paint job. Course mine is going on a bug but hay, that is the nicest creamy white. Even the wife thinks it is just right.
