Well the TR8 has been fun but it is time to get back to the 1971 6. I ave made up all my weather pac connections from the gauges and am starting to put the steering column back in. I am having a problem with a part the book shows and I can't recall. please help. Sorry about cutting most of the diagram off but wanted to blow it up enought to identify. this is a Rimmer diagram so if you need to see more ,the Blue TRF page 233 also shows it.

I have one on my '73 TR6. It is used to compress a foam seal around the end of the steering column to the bulkhead. This appears to apply only to 73-76 cars. 250's and pre 73 TR6's used a rubber grommet that I suppose did not need it. I base my assumption on the fact that Bentley and my other TR6 repair manuals do not show the bracket in question.

Thanks Ray /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thankyousign.gif , I was kind of figuring that.Next question,Why didn't I use a multiple connector to simplify all the column electrical connections???DUH /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wall.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wall.gif
