Most people really poo-poo the Pantera, saying it basically is just a fancy-bodied car with a standard 351 engine. While that is somewhat true, it's a 351 Cleveland, not a 351 Windsor, which was the most common 351 among Fords.
Plus, the tranny is shared with just one other car -- the GT40.
I've driven them, and they are wild cars. A great combination of muscle car, sports car, racing car and outstanding Italian beauty (ok, it was done by Tom Tjaarda, who actually is an American citizen,) with horrible Italian ergonomics!
