Panhard Bar Kit from Mini Mania

Does anyone have any experience with this Panhard Bar for Spridgets from MiniMania? Most designs I've seen span the entire width of the car, but theirs runs from one side to the center, attaching to the driveshaft tunnel. It also mounts in front of the axle instead of behind it.

Since it spans only half the width of the car, it must cause more lateral movement of the axle when the rear wheels move up and down than designs that span the entire width. But I've heard people say that there isn't much vertical movement in the first place, and that it's fine for street use. When I called MiniMania and asked about it, they said that they even use it on their race cars.

The price is lower than other designs I've seen, but I don't want to buy it if it's going to induce some weird handling rather than improve it. Does anyone here have experience using a half-width Panhard bar like this one?

Thanks!
Dan
