Well, it seems my BJ8 panel switches, o/d, wiper, panel lights and lights, were quite an assortment. As I try to salvage the good ones and replace the broken or incorrect ones, a couple of questions arise:
1. Does the wiper switch really need to be a three position switch, with eight lugs? Seems to me by the wiring diagram that this is only an on/off switch. It would make sense if the wipers were two speed, but that doesn't seem to be the case, with only a ground and hot wire coming into the switch.
2. This is pretty basic, but is the off position for the panel lights, wiper and headlight/running light switch up or straight out? The light switch seems to want to be up in the off position, middle position is parking and panel lights, with the lower position being all lights.
Thanks for the help.
