Panasports and tires

I have an opportunity to buy a set of Panasports with tires already mounted for about $700. They are in great shape.

My question is will these fit on my B?

Tire size is: 185/60 R14

Panasport rim size is: 14x7

I'd try these on the car to see but right now the car is in restoration mode and I don't have the front or rear axles in place to try them on.

What do you think?

Are you sure they're true Panasports & not one of the knock-off's available on the market? If they're knock-off's those tires better be top line with zero miles at that price! IMO.

And the tire's shouldn't be more than a year or 2 old. For that kind of money you could buy a new set from hap that will fit. The 14x7 is kinda on the odd side.

7" are too wide for stock MGB fenders, shame you didn't talk to me first, these are 15x6 with the proper offset for a MGB, and as good of quailty as a Panasport anyday of the week, and you could have saved some money, 15x6s are 180.00 each, 14x6 are 165.00 each.

The picture is of Paul Slice's gorgous MGB (he post here). You can see bigger version of it on my website.

Here's a couple of shots of the knock-off version, or spline drive version, we're the only company to put the adpater on the back side, like the works Leman cars had on them. The splined wheel are more expensive than the bolt on wheels of course, but still less than out competitors.

Thanks guys for the input. I haven't bought the wheels yet. Sounds to me like I should take a pass on these and buy the correct ones.

I'll keep you informed.

After looking at the Superlites on the web site, I think I'll buy a set of those in the Charcoal. That way I'm guaranteed they will fit the B.

Thanks again for all your input.

Kev, keep in mind, that a MGC and MGB have two different bolt patterns, a MGC is 5x4.75", and a MGB is 4x4.5" so they the two don't interchange. Kev, I'm a Superlite distributor, I work directly for Superlite US, I'd love the opportunity to sell you the wheels, so please keep me in mind when you get ready, I'll take care of you, and be sure to give Basil a tip for using his site to make a sale, all my information is on my below listed web site.

Hi Hap

I will certainly use you to make my purchase of the Superlite rims. I'm in the process of rebuilding/modifying a 71 B. I'm thinking of a Black on Black color scheme so the Charcoal Superlites will look fabulous on the car.

If you want to see the progress of the car so far go to my posting at: https://www.britishcarforum.com/bcforum/u...uild#Post589206

Thanks Hap. I'll be in touch.

Kevin
