Hi guys, did Triumph paint their engines a certin color?
By model or year, going to install a rebuilt into my 76 spitfire soon, looking for options.
Thanks Tom

Tom, now that all of the guys who probably made those paint color decisions for Triumph are probably dead and gone, your options are wide open.

Think it has more to do with your locations.
People in ...say...MA
paint their motors<span style="color: #FF0000"> funny</span> colors

Of course, if you're not totally committed to originality, you could paint the engine to match the car as in this current eBay auction listing:

That does look very cool and consider the detail
good job

i like the look also, but the plan is to paint the car cameleon at some point,
don't think doing the engine cameleon would work.

Black if you're a stickler for originality. Also disguises the leaks. Lighter color if you want to see them.
