Painting a BE generator

I'm getting ready to paint rebuilt a BE generator engine green. The question is what gets painted and what doesn't?
 
Everything gets painted engine green except for the brass/copper oiler piece and the two electrical stubs/contacts on the back. The tach drive is also unpainted.
 
Paint the whole darn thing including the end plates, the pully and the fan are painted as well along with the nut and lockwasher.

While that is esentially "correct" Jack, it is not. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nonono.gif

Remember that the Gen was installed ON the motor when the assembly (motor, etc.) was painted. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/computer.gif

Therefore, the side nearest the engine is black!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

Ho ho, I bet you are right Ed. That makes so much sense. What ever is easiest.
 
Just looked at an old generator in the spares box. 2/3 green 1/3 black!!
 
Guess that painter was union...
