Painting 1275 engine - Questions

I have seen that colour - I actually have in my possession a NOS A-series 948cc head that is that colour, it reminds me of the colour of Makita power tools. Its a stock head so it's probably worthless, but it is at least unused and still has the paint in the holes where the valve guides would be pressed in, and on the face of the cylinder head.

I went with the aluminium colour (head, exhaust manifold, Vv cover, pipework, heat shield etc) I think Hap was referring to, it looks clean and doesn't look good with any dirt, grease, oil or whatever on it. However, it's very easy to spot a leak.

Hap, did you have to show us a Spit engine? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shocked.gif

Yeah, that's a 1147, sorry. It was the only engine pic I had that was a close up enough to show detail of paint everything separately. I'll try to do better in the future, I promise /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
