Paint prep

Stripping the bugeye for new paint and I've been anticipating a problem with cleaning the fender beads. I have an old dental tool scaler that I dug out and it really works slick. Amazing the crud you can scratch out of those seams. Now I'm finding all kinds of places to use it. Dental tool kits are cheap and available on line. Sorry if everybody in the world knows all this and has been using them forever. I've just never seen the suggestion put out there.

There is really nothing to see. They are just small hand tools that your dental care person uses to clean your teeth. Scalers, explorers, excavators. The scaler is particularly effective as it is sharp and shaped to get into very tight spaces. There is even a left and a right hand tool.

I've been using those for decades. In my case, the couple different dentists I've have even give me their old ones for free.

Yep, everyone should have a set of those (for a myriad of uses)... even the small dental mirror.

Good posts, guys. You can even burnish surface rust to bright metal in tight, hard to get to, places.
