Paint for BN1 brake drums

Hi Anyone know what colour the brake drums should be on a BN1 ?
Obviously the spokes are grey but I was wondering about the drums since mine need a clean up
Thanks

Ian

The brake drums and the wheels should be painted in what is generally described as a "dull silver". It could very well look "grey" in a few years. Anything close to aluminum or silver should work. Maybe someone will give a specific UK suggestion on what paint to use.

I used Eastwood's "Argent silver" same for spoke wheels. Some say it's too light of a silver.

If it's really important,
From the AH Concours Registry, Feb. 2005:
"The correct color is medium silver (exact shade will not be judged, but the color should not be a bright aluminum). A reasonable approximation of this color can be found by using either Eastwood's Detail Silver or 1971 Mercedes Astral Silver." "Brake drums should be the same color as the wheels."
