Final paint, all but the hood, had some last minute repairs to do.
Jack, this is why I couldn't make it down today.

That's looking real nice and I like the color as well.

Looks good, Joel...just curious: why'd you run all around the car with black paint?

Tony, it had the bottom part painted black stock. Or that is how it was when I got it. I did put "rock guard" under the black part. Your Midget doesn't have the black strip?

This is what I started with and just copied it.

Joel -

On the computer it looks great. Looking forward to seeing it up close. Give us a call when you get back and we'll do some BBQ.

I'll be back on the 14th. Carla may need some help picking out a steering wheel for fathers day, maybe you could "push" her in the right direction?

'79 were black all the way around the bottom.

The only ones that were black all the way around were rubber bumper cars & that was just so there'd be no body color peeking out around the bumpers.....chrome bumper cars that had black along the bottom only had black between the wheels.
I just looked to see its gonna be a rubber bumper car when its finished....didn't mean to get you excited, sorry.....

Rubber bumpers will go back on after a little refurbishment. I would like to find and put on some chrome bumpers, so if anyone has a line on some.....

Then you'd have to repaint part of the black & change under the taillights & make bumper bracets, & redo the front fenders for park lights - & repaint the car basically!!

Yep, and like I read on another post there is one thing I have to keep in mind:

ITS A DRIVER!

I'll restore one from the ground up someday
