I'm painting the body of my Sprite with yellow Centari. My friend gave me a quart of silver Delstar. Can I paint stripes with the Delstar over the Centari?

Your best bet is to paint a small sample piece and try it on that! That is the only foolproof way without having the labels to read as to what solvent base each type requires!
 
Both are acrylic enamels so probably safe. Do test first though. Also, if you are not catalyzing the Centari, be sure to wait at least a month or two before overpainting, even if the test looks good.
 
Thanks guys. I am catalyzing. But I'm curious. Why wouldn't you catalyze?

Probably the #1 reason is the isocyanates in the catalyst. The stuff is not real healthy. And it can't be filtered since the molecules are smaller than air molecules. Read the MSDS.
 
Best to have a forced air system (instead of a filtered mask)when shooting catalysed paints. I have a Hobby air and it works great. Keep as much skin covered as possible too. If I was painting something large (especially if not in a well ventilated paint booth), I would use sealed goggles over the eyes since the chemicals can be absorbed through the eye membrane. Yes, nasty stuff but the paint is much more durable and chemically resistant with it.
