It's getting closer my friends !!!!!
Looking for the paint code for the

Will be using PPG; but any code from a modern

Happy Holidays to Alll !

Looks like it's 12873:

Might want to check another source to be sure.

Great color. I looked at a 4A that was originally Wedgewood but had had a respray in the earlier blue. Very disappoionted, I probably would have taken it home with me if they had not done that.

Some would say the 2 blues are close but for me it was the difference between lightning and a lightning bug.

Geo, I'll assume the "earlier" color you refer to is Powder Blue, as on TR3 and TR4? That is a much "whiter" blue, while Wedgwood is much "greyer." It's quite obvious when they are side-by-side! (I know; I've a project Herald with a Powder Blue bonnet and a [temporarily, at least] Wedgwood Blue driver's side door...all on an otherwise near-original Pale [Primrose] Yellow repaint!)

The engine bay was still Wedgewood and the difference was obvious to me. The gal selling the car (had owned the car for 40+ years) had never noticed.

Ah, one of my favorite Sam Clemens quotes:

“The difference between the almost right word and the right word is really a large matter–it’s the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning".
