I am fixing the rear view mirror (center of windshield) and have noticed it has white spots on the shank. I assume the part is cast aluminum and I need to clean it before I repaint. Any suggestions on what to use? Also, what is the name of the primer with sealer ao I can spot primer my 73? I have to do a little at a time until the summer and I have the Midget's doors and hoods to reprime.
