Pacesetter Header

I recently purchased a new Pacesetter header kit for my '79 Midget. The kit was advertised as having "everything I need" to install the header on my car and connect it to my stock exhaust. Clearly, the kit does not have everything I need. It only came with the header, a gasket, and a "header extension" pipe. Also, a cool Pacesetter sticker. But it did not come with any flanges or clamps or anything else one would expect in a kit that "has everything I need."

So my question is: does anybody have any experience with this header, and can you give me some tips on hooking it up to my car?

When I got mine I was making an exhaust system from scratch for my race car. Sorry I can't help. But check the inside of the header for any overlap on the pipe, I found quite a bit on the header for the 1275, so I had to grind quite a bit down.
 
i have one also, it hits the frame sometimes. i have quite a mess under there and it is connected to the stock exhaust with at least two adapters, it was not just a bolt up. i plan to redo the whole thing in the spring with 2" pipe all the way back. out of the box i had to lap the flange flat so it would not leak. and i had to grind some of the flange due to interference with the intake somewhere...

My header isn't a pacesetter. I bought mine from British Parts Northwest. Cheaper than pacesetter and I'm very pleased with the parts and service you get from BPN.

Came with everything I needed to mount it to the engine and the downpipe. I too though had to do some grinding on the header flange to get it to clear the intake/exhaust mounting studs. I also had to take an exhaust pipe expander to open up the down tube 1/16" to get it to fit on the header pipe. I have 2" pipe running to the muffler and I bought the pacesetter quad tipped muffler for the car. All in all, was a pretty simple bolt up and I'm quite happy with it.
