I almost hate to bring this up,but why is it
that many people can get killed at an air show,
& it goes on the following year, but if this happened
at a car race/autocross/hillclimb,it would be banned
forever after the incident?

Mostly because that isn't always true.
Fans have died at different kinds of racing events but they continue on. Last year (for example) a fan was killed at a top fuel drag race in Arizona, but the racing continued.
At LeMans in 1955, 83 people were killed in a terrible crash. They learned from what happened and in 1956 the race went on.
Sure, some events are forever changed because of accidents. It happens. But most people recognize that accidents happen. You learn from them (if you can), and move on.
Until someone died from paint fumes. Astral projection is the only safe way to live.Basil said:If we stopped doing everything where some horrible accident might happen, we could all just sit home and watch paint dry. Accidents happen.
