Paul - great photos! I've never seen one of those systems up close, and certainly not in such good condition.
The Jug actually used a combined turbo-supercharger, not just a supercharger. The turbo/super system allowed the a/c to fly at altitudes over 30,000 ft and could supply 52" Hg of manifold pressure up to stratosphere altitude.
