P1633 Code "KAM Voltage Low" S Type

Have a 2000 S TYPE with a P1633 Code “KAM Voltage Low”. If the Battery and Alternator are good then what can this be? The car is in and out of yellow fail safe mode.

Re: P1633 Code "KAM Voltage Low" S Type

Had to look this one up. Seems to be the memory system voltage. Has the battery been unhooked or charged? Check connections and any wires connected to the altenator for fraying or looseness. Also check fuses for corrosion, sometimes need to be pulled cleaned and reinstalled. It is situated around the battery and altenator. Check alt for correct output. Car needs minimum 9 volts to run and keep memory alive. IF you have a Ford trouble manual will be the same as it is a FORD fault too!
